Currently OCBC is offering 0.80% interest for 14-month fixed deposit and 0.88% interest for 18-month fixed deposit with $30,000 fresh funds. I am predicting that interest rates will continue to be very low in 2012 so a 14-month fixed deposit should be quite good.
I am looking at other banks as well to see whether they offer better rates. Keep in mind that inflation is about 5% which is going against us.
